I've been meaning to do a post on this collection for aaages! When i first saw the collection my jaw  actually dropped.. it's outstanding, i applaud Elie Saab!

I was talking to my friends about it in my digital marketing class and we agreed that it's something we could see ourselves wearing on a night out, don't you think? The full lace dresses are maybe a bit out there for a night on the town but still absolutely gorgeous!

I love how he starts the collection with blacks and navies then softens it for evening time with yellows, purples and whites. How elegant does 15 look? I would pay good money for that outfit as it doesn't deserve anything less.

My favs are 13, 17 & 19 and i've seen VERY similar maxi dresses to 13 & 19 in Miss Selfridge recently. I went in at the weekend and saw a black maxi dress that looked quite similar to picture 19 - obviously it didn't look as good because we all know retailers must alter at least 5 things to a garment to avoid any charges from a designer. I was still quite tempted to buy the dress but i knew it would be another item of clothing to sit in my wardrobe for a long, long time.

I also saw a very similar version of dress 7 in USC but i can't remember if it was a French Connection dress or something else? It was gorgeous as well but unfortunately a few too many pennies for me :(

Thanks for reading guys, do you love the collection as much as me? I'd say it's one of my favs from PFW by far! :)

These are some of my favourites from the 2012 Fall collection, it's amazing right?

Balmain is always very bold and eye catching and he's still managed to keep the big shoulders but has toned them down a lot which personally, I think looks so much better. Some of the garments still have that crochet look which i mentioned in the spring/summer post here but with a lot more "bling".

Olivier has moved towards the hourglass silhouette with this collection which will be a favourite for many people. However, i'm not sure if i'm a fan of the flared elbows look, it makes the clothes look a bit toooo masculine, and i'm usually one for boyish clothes, haha!

I do love the thigh high boots though, they look amazing but i'm pretty sure they'd be a struggle putting them on and taking them off.

Looks 3, 10 & 12 are my favourite. I love the harem pants in 3 and LOVE the tops in looks 10 & 12. The jewel embellishments are something else!

Overall another amazing collection from Balmain. Have a look at the video here to see just how outstanding the garments look - I feel the clothes always look so much more couture on the video.

Thanks for reading, what are your thoughts?
